Fodor's Review:
The ambience in this elegant, refurbished house just off
Calle Uruguay is classic Caribbean, with ceiling fans
spinning over the cane chairs, white tablecloths, colorful
tile floors, potted palms, and an abundance of young waiters
in white guayaberas (traditional pocketed tops). There is
usually Cuban music playing, and the shiny, hardwood bar
stretching down one end of the dining room is the perfect
place to sip a mojito…http://www.fodors.com/world/mexico-and-central-america/panama/panama-city/review-453519.html

Fodor's Review:
This casual steak house on busy Calle Uruguay, with
cement floors and a corrugated metal roof, is an appropriate
place to sink your teeth into a cheeseburger or a rib-eye
steak. They serve only Omaha beef here, which isn't cheap,
nor is it very exotic for American travelers, but if you've
got to have a burger, this is the place to go.

The cozy environment of La Chesa, a private home
converted into a 46-seat restaurant, lends itself to a
feeling of exclusivity and homeyness, like being an invited
dinner guest at the home of a well-to-do Tuscan family. A
prix fixe menu of classic Northern Italian cuisine is
complimented by a selection of premium Italian wines, and a
chef’s table next to the open kitchen provides an
unforgettable experience for special parties.
